Hi, I’m Melissa!

Social Media Strategist, Content Creator, Health and Fitness Enthusiast, Ovarian Cancer Advocate Leader

After struggling with the loss of a parent at a young age, I’ve been able to see the world with a different perspective than most. My emotions started to fuel my expressive writing and use of visual content. I’ve always been a creative thinker, so I decided to let my passions lead me down a similar career path!

After completing my undergraduate degree in Marketing with a Digital concentration and Graphic Design minor, I went on to my first “real job” for a nonprofit in New York City. Commuting from New Jersey every day was no easy feat, but it is an experience I will never forget. While at this job I decided to follow my desire of learning more about digital marketing, specifically social media, and return to school (while still working full-time). I graduated with my Masters in Digital Marketing in December 2018, and ever since then I’ve continued to follow my passion for creativity in the digital world and learning how to leverage it to your advantage.

Aside from my professional achievements, I am constantly working on how to become the best version of myself. I have learned how to turn my pain into POWER, and each day I strive to be a better person than I was the day before. I have a blog to document some of my learnings and new perspectives along the way, as well as to help spread awareness for a cause I am passionate about – ovarian cancer. My past experiences gave me a passion for health and fitness which has led to me to share what works for me through social media and help others get fit too. I thrive on teaching others how to find joy after a season of darkness or struggle.

As if my life wasn’t exciting enough, I also provide consulting and freelance services through Melissa Theresa Creatives to help companies up-level their digital presence. I’m excited to continue growing both in my personal and professional life.
